30th Reunion

Reunion Dinner
Jon was press-ganged into the MC role (pecking order applied) and welcomed one-and-all to the reunion dinner. We had rowdy toasts to absent friends, and a somber special mention of David Jones who passed away in 1983.
John Mason replied on behalf of the staff and recalled a number of entertaining anecdotes from the year of ‘83, including pulling a white rabbit out of the hat (literally). John concluded the formalities with a toast to the ladies, and the frivolity, memories and wine flowed.
The (former) cadets and staff donned there battle bowlers and we drank from glasses engraved for the event, both keepsakes, while a rolling slide show kept the conversation alive.
Before last-drinks commemorative chocolates, representative of chickens and rabbits, were consumed in remembrance of our live rations exercise.
The evening concluded some time after midnight with some folk staggering back to their lodgings and others opting to accompany Chin-less to the blow-up sheep shop in Cuba Street, and beyond...
